Panda Fun!August 23rd
Today, my family and I went to see the pandas in Chengdu. These people have giant pandas and red pandas. The giaant pandas are more payed attention than the red pandas. They both are close to being extinct. Oh, man! I hope they don’t, though.
We went in a cab to this Panda Research Base. That is the name We got there and we walked around. My mom went to the bathroom and the rest of us went to find the pandas that were in an enclosure. (This enclosure is their natural habit.) Well, not quite. It is manmade and it is a nice place for them to live. They like it when it is cool. We went there first so that we could see them in action. We took a bunch of pictures, too. It was so cool! I could hear them crunching their food. They were eating bamboo at the time. Apparently, they can eat some meat too. I learned that when I was there. Sisters got to see them a lot and Mom and Dad could see them some, too. It was soooo fun! I enjoyed it for a while and then I got a little bit bored. I can’t see them and so it wasn’t as exciting later.
There were a good amount of people there. People were taking pitures and watching them. It was okay. I did get kind of smooshed. Uh! That was too bad for me. I was okay, though. People were supposed to be quiet but they weren’t. They weren’t too lound, thankfully. Whoa.
After that, we went on and saw some more pandas. They were cute! We even saw peacocks, fish, and swans. That was later though when we saw the fish and swans.
We walked around and looked at different thing the people had put up for this tourist park. It was pretty cool!
Guess what? We got to see a tiny baby panda! It was in an inkibater. It was soo tiny. You probably would of liked it a lot. We went into a nursery to see the baby panda. It had a sign that said, “When I am not out here, I am with my Mama.“ Isn’t that cute?
Also there in the nursery were movies of two different biths. Mama pandas having babies. My mom described stuff to me. I liked for her to do that. It gave me more to understand.
While we were there, our family or some of us met different people. Mom I think met a French woman. Maybe she just heard that woman talking to her friends in French and she told us. I amnot quite sure.
Well, anyway, we met a German family. I got to visit with there daughter and the mom. The daughter is thirteen and I am twelve. We are real close in age so that worked out well. I got her email ID and I hope I can contact her sometime. My dad got to talk to the Dad of this girl. Both of my parents got to talk to them, too. We all did. Maybe I should say.
Later, I got to do the most exciting thing I have ever done! Are you ready for thiss? I got to hold a paanda and touch itt with my Bare hands! My parents payed shall we call it a donation. I got a bag with some goodies after we payed. I got a badge that says something like, “Panda Nurses badge.“ Anyway, We went in the special room they let people hold the panda in. We put on nurses’ gowns, shoe covers, and gloves. Here’s the thing. I of course wanted to touch a the real panda with my bare hands and feel what it was like. Well, do you know what happened? My mom asked more than once, “Can she touch the panda without her gloves?“ The keepers kept saying “No.“ Finally, maybe it was the fourth time, and Mom asked a guy said, “Let me ask this person.“ It happens that this person was a woman. She said, “Yes, but only her.“ Of course we were going to do that. I forgot my mom said, “she can wash her hands and theen touch the panda.“ That was part of what she said when asking if I could touch this pannda with my bare hands. The lady brought a basin with chlorox water and I washed my hands in it. After she had done that, she told me to not touch anything. I pretty much didn’t. When it was my turn, Mom helped me touch the panda and made sure I didn’t get my fingers in it’s mouth. (She did have gloves on.) I really did get to touch it!! It has shaggy fur and long. It reminded me of dog fur. A person took my picture. Then, the person asked my mom to to please let her take a picture with just me and then panda. Okay. She did. Next, my mom reqasked if I could hold the panda. At that moment, I was sitting next to it. The people were a little not sure about that. They did let me, though. Whoo! What fun! Great great fun! I held it and it was a little heavier than E or maybe a little lighter than her. It’s arms got on top og my arms and it felt as if my sister E was sitting in my lap. Isn’t that interesting? I think so. Then, I got my turn finished and went everything off and Mom too. We went outside where my two sisters and Dad were standing and waiting for me. I showed what I got and explored my bagg. We also showed the pictures that were taken.
Lastly, we saw the lake where the swans and fish were. My sisters got to feed them and I guess got their feet in the water. Mom, Dad, and I sat down and watch. Some people even fed the swans. They got bitten. It wasn’t too bad I think. When my dad went to get the food for the fish, he brought back some ice cream. It was tasty! It was chocolate on top! I love chocolate a lot! Yum, yum, yum! Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
I will end by saying we went to see a museum and saw a little bit of a shop and then finally got a taxi. I did enjoy as you can tell! It was soooooo much fun! I hope you enjoyed reading. this program. We got there a tiny bit before eight o’clock. They open at eight o’clock in the morning.

Second Post
August 16th
Today, I was walking in Huishui and there were actual obstacles in the
path way. Okay. That might not sound very interesting to you. I am telling you
about it and describing. There was a motorbike in the way. So, you know what I
did? I stopped and examined the space. Well, I said (in my head I was thinking)
“Hmmm, that’s interesting.” On the right side of the motor bike was a small
patch of fake grass or real grass. It probably had a plant in it. While I was
deciding on what it was and everything, My dad said to me, “you can go. It is
just a motorbike.” Okay, thhen I went on his word. Another time on the same
track, there was a fire hydrant. Of course, my dad told me it was a fire
hydrant. I went around it on the right, also. Then, my dad commented on what he
thought he would have done. He said, “Ahbee, come here and look.” I did and he
told me, “If I were going, I would have gone to the left.” There is more track
space here.” I guess that could make since. He could choose that side. I could
of gone on the left if I’d chosen to. I didn’t this time. Sometime when we were
walking around, My dad warned me of a cart thing. It was in the way of the
sidewalk. It had a handle hanging around and it stuck out. He showed me where
it was. My! I wouldn’t want to run myself into that. That surely might hurt a
little. I told him, “Maybe that is where the guide dog would come, in.” Whoa!
That was close. I am glad my dad told me about that thing. It was between my
chest and waist height.
A different time today, we were going to cross the street. It was a
small and not so busy street. My dad
wanted me to determine when to go. So, I stood there listening. I heard cars
passing in front of me. Finally, there was a break. I heard a vehicle stop and
sit there. I must have been a little timid. My dad said, “You can go.” I didn’t
know if the vehicle was going to go or not. My dad informed me, “If there is a
vehicle that just sits there, it is probably okay to go.” I went across. I was
relieved.
Well, how’s that for you? Is that enough excitement for now? Okay I
will let it go for now.

On that day, I was walking in Huishui and Sister2 said, “Ahbee, it looks like your cane is
your eyes.” I think that is cute. Another time Wednesday the 8th,
Sister2 grabbed hold of my cane. She grabbed it and kind of shook it. I said,
“S!” Man! She can be a mess! She can also be cute and funny. Hee hee hee. I
love her anyway. I should, though.
I was tired on the 8th. I was
extremely tired. Well, maybe not too bad. I don’t get that tired usually.
Whoooooa! My oh my. It turns out, I was a little sick. Well, that is it for
now.
