Saturday, July 13

Yesterday was the second half day off that I've had.

We girls had to practice turning left and right as if we were doing military drills. We then packed us into vehicles and went to town. Kayla, Kate, and I were the first to work with the trainers this time. Eric came along, as well.

We did some exercises instead of walking the route. We had to cross the street and walk a few steps. We'd have to let the next person know we'd gotten across. The next person came but passed the first one and then the last person got to cross the street first. We did that more than once.

We also practiced with the dogs eating food. We each held food up to them, more like teasing them with food. We'd then correct them if they touched our fingers or hand. Next, the three of us made it back to the cafe. So, Lexi and Meredith went after us.

While sitting outside of the cafe, we drank some sort of orange drink, but the cool thing is the bottle it came in. This glass or rather bottle is made of glass and has a very nice design! We decided to bring it home with us and keep it. I suggested it being a souvenir from this cafe.

We arrived back at the campus at one o'clock. That means a late lunch. We had pork chops for lunch and vegetables that went with it.

Oh, yes! On Friday, three girls played the piano and two sang. I forgot to tell you. Anyway, I got the chance to play a bit on the piano. Four of the girls made objects with clay that Sandy brought. Sandy is a worker from here. She's been helping entertaining us this weekend and, I was told, next weekend too. I created a paw print and cross. Kayla and Meredith went outside and played with water. Kate, Lexi, and I sat in the living area relaxing.
Several girls and their dogs relax on a shaded porch.
Here we are with our dogs, relaxing outside.

We ate pizza for dinner. The others made homemade ice cream with bags but I didn't want any.

After that, Kate's dog ran away from her. She described her problem by saying, "My dog got all psychotic and she took the leash out of my hand." We finally caught her dog! Yea! Nothing bad happened. They both are just  fine. What a relief!

Yesterday, was quite hot, too. It was a hot and wonderful day!
