This morning, we went to a town that is 30 minutes away from here. We practiced crossing streets, aligning with traffic, and doing double crossings. Double crossings are when you cross straight forward to the other side and then turn and cross that direction. Three of us stayed inside the van while the other two walked the streets. We had Christian there to help us, but he was there just in case. I visited with Lexi a long time. We then got our turn.
We had sandwiches for lunch. In the afternoon, the trainers spoke to us.
We finally went to another town. It is about 5 to 10 minutes away from the campus. We each did a short little route. There were three street crossings, as well. We had to cross one street then turn right, cross that street, and finally turn right again, then cross over. I've been told, "These are harder to do." This time, we had to sit in the grass instead of a chair at table, like at the cafe.
We arrived back on campus. I went downstairs and visited with Lexi and just a bit with Meredith.
We ate meatloaf for dinner. I chose to eat watermelon for dessert, this time. Oh, yes! Last night's dinner was super! It was salmon with cauliflower and snow peas. It was pretty good. Giselle cooks so well! Mostly, she cooks the food and doesn't buy most things frozen and heat it up. Her cooking is amazing!
It's almost the end of the third week! Can you believe it? I can't! Wow! Time flies by when you're having fun or just busy.
